All of the works below were created using stencils I myself made. The quality of the images themselves are relatively low due in main part for them being too large for my scanner.
I am not one for abstract art. In fact, I downright don't like it. Take all of these with a grain of salt (or maybe a salt lick). By that I mean, you can see what you will; even nothing. These are all open to interpretation. For the most part, I just thought they might look cool. Never did I imagine that the whole project would take on any specific meaning for me.
On to the series. They were created out of order, and with no specific intent. The poem as told throughout (boxes on left) was written as I posted them. However, the concept was realized years ago. I started writing a story a long time ago with the first line as follows:
"The city which never sleeps.
Nightmares plague the city, is it any wonder it cannot find rest?"
Upon looking at "overture" I realized that it was time to use the concept again.
